John Mangos has had a forty-year career in journalism where he spent the past thirty-seven years working in television news.
He is currently a contributor to the Nine Network’s Today show and a regular guest on ABC local radio.
Prior to this, he anchored the Seven Network’s afternoon national news program for two years and appeared on the same network’s Sunrise and Morning Show programs.
John was one of the founding senior anchors at Skynews Australia where he presented news and current affairs for fifteen years.
John started his career with the Nine Network where his roles included general news, state politics in NSW, a three-year stint in the Federal Parliamentary Gallery, and a three-year stint as Nine’s bureau chief in the United States.
He returned from the US to work with Graham Kennedy on Coast to Coast. He then went on to anchor Ten’s Eyewitness News, became international reporter for Nine’s Midday Show, which led to John hosting his own morning chat program on the Seven Network, At Home With John Mangos, for two years.
Concurrently, since 1995, John has operated his own media training consultancy which has seen him work closely with and coach some of Australia’s leading business and political figures.
